Pug Dog Encephalitis (PDE)

Unique to Pugs, PDE is a fatal inflammatory brain disease. The only method of diagnosis is post-mortem. PDE usually impacts young dogs, causing them to become blind seizures, fall into a coma, and die. There is ongoing research to identify the cause of this disease.
