Due to a malformed pulmonic valve, pulmonic stenosis is a congenital heart disease that results in incorrect blood flow through the heart. The heart needs to work harder as a result. The heart can become enlarged, causing heart failure. Treatment can vary based on the seriousness of the condition. No treatment is necessary in mild cases, but in severe cases, surgery is recommended. There’s little or no obstruction in mild cases, and no treatment is required.
